Dubai’s Supreme Committee for Crisis and disaster management has announced it will open its borders for tourists and visitors from July 7, 2020.
As most of the strict restrictions being lifted in Dubai, it gears up to welcome international tourists. The vibrant city of tall skyscrapers, beautiful beaches and all good nightlife restarted in the month of June. Upon the arrival of foreign tourists, Dubai expects even more from people across the globe.

Strict protocols have been imposed for inbound and outbound passengers. Passengers arriving at Dubai must download COVID-19 DXB app and register details, have a health declaration forms filled with any health symptom prior to departure and have a PCR test done prior to 96 hours (4 days) of their departure. Also, it would be required to show proof of whether not being COVID positive. If failed to prove a PCR test would be conducted at Dubai.
While coming to Dubai, it is mandatory to have international health insurance. If tested positive from Dubai, 14-day quarantine must be observed at a governmental institution at passenger’s own expense. All tourists must follow two-meter social distancing norms or else would face a penalty.
Dubai has been stringent in the COVID 19 handling and has been considered as one of the safest places in the world. Dubai aims at not disrupting normal life so that visitors who depart from Dubai after holidays could go back to destination without being quarantined in the home country.
In the initial stages, Dubai targets visitors from European destinations. Gradually, airlines would be open services to key African destinations.
